Prologue

It was my first day in a business club. It was my first beautiful Saturday evening after I became a Chartered Accountant. My close friend Karan suggested that I join a business club (one where he was already a member) where people from different professions get together to make contacts, to build up rapport and, most importantly, to widen their client base – not to forget to add a few more female friends in their lives. There was a small birthday party of one of the club members that day. When we arrived, the cake cutting was already over, but I could take advantage of the snacks and cold drinks that followed. Karan introduced me to a few of his friends both male and female.
